WELCOME
Regional Sounds Inc is a new not-for-profit organisation based in Geraldton, Western Australia, dedicated to fostering growth and supporting pathways to help musicians grow.
We have been developed by a group of passionate regionally-based musicians to ensure that artists based outside of WA’s metro areas, continue to thrive.
We also believe that music can be used as a forum for positive social change, so here we are - connecting musicians and communities to see more inclusivity, vibrancy and diversity in a thriving regional WA.
What we do

Artist Development
We think all artists should be able to grow - regardless of regional boundaries or geographical disadvantages. That’s why we are passionate about ensuring regionally-based musicians continue to thrive, while living in the regions through professional development projects, workshops and opportunities to up-skill.

Building Community
We see music as a universal language and an awesome way to build inclusivity, bring people together, forge healthy connections and support and strengthen our sense of community. We use music as a catalyst for creating important social and cultural impact within the regions.

Industry Development
This emerging priority is seeing us turn our focus to improving and supporting the sustainable growth of the regional music industry through increased cross-sector collaboration, original music spaces in regional communities and increased inter-regional connectivity.
ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF COUNTRY
Regional Sounds respectfully acknowledge the Southern Yamatji Peoples who are the Traditional Owners and First People of the land on which we meet, work and create. We pay our respect to the Elders past, present and future for they hold the memories, the traditions, the culture and hopes of the Yamatji Peoples. We respect that this land always was and always will be Southern Yamatji land.
