From writers, to songwriters, to graphic designers and painters, the perpetual arts challenge is open to all creative youth of Jambinu, Geraldton in 2025.
The trigger for the challenge is a piece from the Randolph Stow young writers award. This written artwork will be used to inspire the next expression of creativity titled, “I wrote a song based on your story”. The challenge goes on to have a piece of artwork from the previous challenge inspire the next.
“I choreographed a dance to your song”,
“I painted a picture inspired by your dance”,
“I made a t-shirt design based off of your painting”,
Held over 9 months, this program will offer facilitated workshops for participants to work on their inspired pieces under the tutelage of suitably qualified local mentors and an opportunity to present their artwork at community events.
The songwriting workshops will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays after school from 3:30pm starting Tuesday 25 February 2025.
