On Saturday the 7th December, Geraldton welcomes the final cruise ship for the season so Regional Sounds is calling out for buskers to liven our CBD with musical entertainment...and compete for the right to brag as the Beachcomber Busking Comp’s inaugural People’s Choice! (There’s a $500 cash prize!)
How does it work?
Performers apply for a Busking Permit from the City of Greater Geraldton: (CX03_Busking Permit)
Performers register for the Beachcomber Busking Comp using this easy form (https://forms.office.com/r/NxYEDJR57B)
Performers are given sets at pre-approved busking spots
The program is shared with our community, media and visiting cruise ship passengers
Performers are invited to the Cruise Hub pre-event briefing Link to event here.
On the day, performers put out their hat for tips and People’s Choice tokens.
At 1pm, performers return their tokens to Regional Sounds for tallying
At 3pm, performers and sponsors meet for bevvies and snacks at Regional Sounds where we announce the People’s Choice busker and groove to a repeat performance of their set.
